This project is a small artists’ book in which Marcel van Eeden responds visually to Gerrit Achterberg’s poem “Antimatter.”

Marcel van Eeden created five black‑and‑white drawings that translate the dense, speculative atmosphere of Achterberg’s text into his characteristic film‑noir visual language, working with strong contrasts and a narrative, sequential layout. The poem “Antimatter” itself was newly translated into English and German for this edition, and printed alongside the drawings in a limited bibliophile publication produced by Bureau Claxon/de Statenhofpers in an edition of 120 signed copies.
